Summer Camp Thursday 6/20

 Hi Preschool A families!

    Today was another awesome day of camp! We started in the classroom coloring the new coloring sheets I printed off by request of each kid. We also did monster truck racing and pretend plumbing in our kitchen. We then went out on the playground for a very quick recess because it was very hot this morning! We came inside for snack and then we had Bible Story Time! Almost everyone remembered the names of the men in the story for this week when I asked them today, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendnego! That might be a fun test on the car ride home from camp- ask your kiddo if they remember the three boys names from the bible story at camp. (They will at least know Abendnego because his name is the most fun to say.😂 ) We watched our video and reminded the kids that when we stand up for God and put our trust in Him like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendnego did, he fulfills His promise to us and protects us. He never fails. 

    After Bible story time, I turned on the Veggie Tales version of the story as I called the kids two at a time to do the craft. We made the fire flame with our hand print! The kids loved the idea of getting messy in the paint. I have hung all of the crafts in the hallway for the other classes to see and I will send them home tomorrow. If your child is not going to be here tomorrow, I will send it home today!

    After craft, we went to the gym and the kids ran their little hearts out! Everyone was ready for lunch and naptime by 11:45. We watched Bubble Guppies, which was new for a lot of kids, and they requested to watch our bible story video again as well. We read a few books before drifting off to sleep!

Today was another successful day of camp!

NEXT WEEK: 

Tuesday is a Water Play day! Please send your child in their swimsuit with clothes on top. (For girls- t-shirt AND shorts please.) Please send them in water proof shoes they can play in like crocs or water-shoes. Come with sunscreen already applied and a towel packed. We will be going to play at 9:15. Please send a change of clothes in a plastic bag so we can put their wet clothes in that bag when we pack them up. (Make sure to include underwear and new socks and shoes). 

Wednesday is Cupcake Wars! 

Friday is Treat Day and we are going to have mini pancakes!!!

Mini Camps will be as usual- 

Monday: Gymnastics

Tuesday: Soccer

Thursday: Cooking 

Friday: Art

 Hi Preschool A Families! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today was a great day at camp. We played inside until everyone was here for the day and then we went out to the playground before it got too hot outside. While we were outside, a few kids went to gymnastics camp. When they came back we ate snack inside and sat down for Bible story time. We discussed Moses parting the Red Sea which is our story for the week. We talked about how powerful God is and that He is a miracle worker. Then we played in the classroom and I got out some play-dough on the back table. We went to the commons to get the last of the jitters out and spun around on the scooter seats, which we have never been able to use before. The kids were having a blast! When we were done in the commons we had a few minutes to spare to play in the classroom so I played a minion dance party video and a shark hunt interactive video for those who didn't want to play in the classroom. Summer Camp Tuesday 7/9

 Hi Preschool A Families!  We had a rainy, inside camp day, but we still had so much fun! The kiddos played in the classroom this morning making magic wands, tunnels, coloring, pretend firework shows, and *very intensely* playing with balloons! Some of our friends went to soccer camp and we waited for them to return to eat snack before we went to the Commons to run our energy out with Preschool B! We got to use funny bird puppets that make squawking noises and bouncing balls that we don't normally get to use so the kids were very excited. When we came back to the room, we talked about our Bible story for the week- Jesus calms the storm. We talked about how trusting God may be scary at times but He will always protect us like in our story. We watched the Bible video and then got to make our craft that spins from stormy weather to sunny weather. Summer Camp Friday 7/26 (Last Day!)

  What a fun last day of Summer Camp! The kids were able to do all of their favorite things today, from playing outside to playing Sharks and Minnows in the gym. We had a blast! Our special treat for the last day of Summer Camp was not only Kona Ice, but also a visit from Spider-Man! The kids loved getting a chance to talk to him, and it was hard when we had to say goodbye! :) It was a joy spending a week with your kids and getting to know them.
