Summer Camp Wednesday 6/26
Hello Preschool A Families!
I am so happy to be back! I missed these kiddos after my long weekend.
Because of the rain, we were a bit cooped up all day. We started with free play as everyone joined us for the morning. My assistants and I got to enjoy a lovely puppet show in the process. We had chapel in the Church presented by Mr. Wood and he talked about being a loving friend like how God is to us. We then had Cupcake Wars! The kids got to decorate a Twinkie of their own. I was tasked with judging this contest and choosing a winner out of our class for their picture to be hung in the wall next week! I took all day to deliberate and announced after lunch that I chose Turner for his attention to detail and dedication to his craft- he took almost all the time decorating. He barely had time to eat! Everyone's creations were fantastic though!
We washed the sticky icing off our hands and played in the gym for a bit to run some of the sugar high off. The kindergartners joined us for the last few minutes of play time. We came back to the room to have snack and have Bible Story time. We discussed Jonah and the Whale. We learned that even when we make mistakes like Jonah did, God still forgives us. We continued to play in the classroom until lunch time. Some of us even learned a new board game!
It was another successful day at Summer Camp!
God's Blessings,
