Summer Camp Wednesday 6/12

 Hi Preschool A Families!

It was another awesome day of VBS!

We started in the chapel learning about our message for the day, God is a friend we can trust! We also met our Bible buddy, Fisher the Seal. He trusts that his mom will always come back and remember his voice even when she is gone for days hunting for food. We moved to craft where we made boats like the one Jesus was on when he calmed the storm. We had snack and then went to Bible Adventure where we heard the story of Jesus calming the storm. We used the parachute to see what it would have been like for the waves to be so big and the all of a sudden go completely still. In exploration station, we used the water tables to float boats and we used a big blue blanket to recreate the storm. We went to sticky scripture where we learned about our verse for the day, John 14:27 "I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart." We went outside and after, we came inside to sing some songs. We ended the VBS day with large group. 

I am sending home with every kid a Fisher figurine with the verse of the day on the bottom, a coloring sheet, and their whale project. Please keep the ziploc that is in their backpack in their backpack for me to reuse everyday to send home the projects we will make at VBS. Please send your child in the VBS shirt every day but if they are giving you a tough time, no worries. They are not required to wear it every day. 

I will not be at camp Thurs.-Mon. I am visiting family this weekend in Texas. Ms. Addy will be taking over the class while I am gone! I am sad to be missing days of camp, but Ms. Addy will do a great job leading the class! I am excited to be back on Tuesday. 

It was another successful day of summer camp and VBS!

 Hi Preschool A Families! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today was a great day at camp. We played inside until everyone was here for the day and then we went out to the playground before it got too hot outside. While we were outside, a few kids went to gymnastics camp. When they came back we ate snack inside and sat down for Bible story time. We discussed Moses parting the Red Sea which is our story for the week. We talked about how powerful God is and that He is a miracle worker. Then we played in the classroom and I got out some play-dough on the back table. We went to the commons to get the last of the jitters out and spun around on the scooter seats, which we have never been able to use before. The kids were having a blast! When we were done in the commons we had a few minutes to spare to play in the classroom so I played a minion dance party video and a shark hunt interactive video for those who didn't want to play in the classroom. Summer Camp Tuesday 7/9

 Hi Preschool A Families!  We had a rainy, inside camp day, but we still had so much fun! The kiddos played in the classroom this morning making magic wands, tunnels, coloring, pretend firework shows, and *very intensely* playing with balloons! Some of our friends went to soccer camp and we waited for them to return to eat snack before we went to the Commons to run our energy out with Preschool B! We got to use funny bird puppets that make squawking noises and bouncing balls that we don't normally get to use so the kids were very excited. When we came back to the room, we talked about our Bible story for the week- Jesus calms the storm. We talked about how trusting God may be scary at times but He will always protect us like in our story. We watched the Bible video and then got to make our craft that spins from stormy weather to sunny weather. Summer Camp Friday 7/26 (Last Day!)

  What a fun last day of Summer Camp! The kids were able to do all of their favorite things today, from playing outside to playing Sharks and Minnows in the gym. We had a blast! Our special treat for the last day of Summer Camp was not only Kona Ice, but also a visit from Spider-Man! The kids loved getting a chance to talk to him, and it was hard when we had to say goodbye! :) It was a joy spending a week with your kids and getting to know them.
