Summer Camp Monday 7/1

 Hi Preschool A Families!

I can't believe we are already in July!

Today was so much fun! We played inside for a bit. We made a football stadium with magnetic blocks while we were at it! While some of the kids were at gymnastics camp, the rest of us went out on the playground. We stayed outside until they returned. Then, we went to the parking lot for water play day! I had chalk and bubbles for the kids that didn't want to get wet since it ended up being chilly for a water day. Most kids ended up deciding to get wet eventually! The water guns were a huge hit! We dried off, came inside, changed, and ate our snacks.

Next, we had Bible Time. Our Bible topic for this week is The Fruits of the Spirit- Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control from Galatians 5:22-23. We discussed that these are all things that Jesus had and because we have Jesus in our hearts we can have them too. Just like how an apple tree that isn't growing apples is a sign that the tree might be sick, we grow in our faiths and produce these "fruits" that show that our faith is healthy. It helps us share God's love and tell others about Jesus too! We watched a video to help explain that these "Fruits of the Spirit" aren't literal fruits (which can be a bit confusing) and then we also did a dance/song to help us remember them. I encourage you to play the song for your kiddos this week to help them remember! Its super short and catchy too- Fruits of the Spirit Song !

After Bible time, we went back outside. We ended up playing a whole class game of tag! Having 10 four and five year olds chase you around a playground does not make for good picture-taking so I apologize for not having any pictures after Bible Time. However, the kids were having so much fun that we stayed out there for a whole 35 minutes until it was time to wash up for lunch!

It was another successful day of camp!

God's Blessings,
