Summer Camp Thursday 7/11

 Hi Preschool A Families!

Today was a great day at Summer Camp! There was a castle building contest to start the day and I, obviously, was volunteered to judge by the teams themselves. However, I couldn't choose between the big castle or the creative design castle so I chose both and both teams shared the "Trophy Cup" as you see in the first right picture. We played "Picky-Uppy" which I realized is a name they all learned from Bluey! Some of us played dress-up and house, as well. Then, we went outside to the playground. There were some minivans being built! After some time on the playground we came inside to cool off and eat our snacks. After snack time, it was our turn for bike day! The kids had lots of fun riding around the parking lot. Some of the boys pretended the sidewalk was the gas station and filled up their scooters and bikes with gas to race them around. When we came inside we sat down to learn about our Bible story of the week- when Jesus calmed the storm. We watched our video to jog our memories from Tuesday and we talked about how Jesus is our protector. Then, we got up to play in our classroom. I turned on a Bluey exercise/dance video for some of the kiddos while others played with games and the pop its. We took our lunch boxes and water bottles to the lunch room and then played in the gym to finish off the day!

It was another successful day of camp!

TOMORROW- It is water day tomorrow! Please send your child in their swimsuit with clothes on top. (For girls- t-shirt AND shorts please.) Please send them in water proof shoes they can play in like crocs or water-shoes. Come with sunscreen already applied and a towel packed. We will be going to play at 9:15. Please send a change of clothes in a plastic bag so we can put their wet clothes in that bag when we pack them up. (Make sure to include underwear and new socks and shoes).

 Hi Preschool A Families! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today was a great day at camp. We played inside until everyone was here for the day and then we went out to the playground before it got too hot outside. While we were outside, a few kids went to gymnastics camp. When they came back we ate snack inside and sat down for Bible story time. We discussed Moses parting the Red Sea which is our story for the week. We talked about how powerful God is and that He is a miracle worker. Then we played in the classroom and I got out some play-dough on the back table. We went to the commons to get the last of the jitters out and spun around on the scooter seats, which we have never been able to use before. The kids were having a blast! When we were done in the commons we had a few minutes to spare to play in the classroom so I played a minion dance party video and a shark hunt interactive video for those who didn't want to play in the classroom. Summer Camp Tuesday 7/9

 Hi Preschool A Families!  We had a rainy, inside camp day, but we still had so much fun! The kiddos played in the classroom this morning making magic wands, tunnels, coloring, pretend firework shows, and *very intensely* playing with balloons! Some of our friends went to soccer camp and we waited for them to return to eat snack before we went to the Commons to run our energy out with Preschool B! We got to use funny bird puppets that make squawking noises and bouncing balls that we don't normally get to use so the kids were very excited. When we came back to the room, we talked about our Bible story for the week- Jesus calms the storm. We talked about how trusting God may be scary at times but He will always protect us like in our story. We watched the Bible video and then got to make our craft that spins from stormy weather to sunny weather. Summer Camp Friday 7/26 (Last Day!)

  What a fun last day of Summer Camp! The kids were able to do all of their favorite things today, from playing outside to playing Sharks and Minnows in the gym. We had a blast! Our special treat for the last day of Summer Camp was not only Kona Ice, but also a visit from Spider-Man! The kids loved getting a chance to talk to him, and it was hard when we had to say goodbye! :) It was a joy spending a week with your kids and getting to know them.
