Summer Camp Tuesday 7/2
Hi Preschool A Families!
We had an awesome day today! We played inside for a few minutes but quickly got outside on the playground before it got too hot! Some kids started collecting "dinosaur fossils" for sale. While we were outside, a few kids had soccer camp. We came inside to eat snack when they returned and then had Bible Time. Our Bible topic for this week is the Fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. First, we discussed that we know an apple tree is healthy when it is growing apples and that apples are not only tasty, but also heathy for our bodies. These "fruits" of the Spirit aren't actual fruits, but as we grow with Jesus we will become more like Him. We will start to practice these qualities more to show our faith in Him has grown to be big, strong, and healthy like an apple tree growing apples. Practicing love, joy, peace, patience, and all of the other fruits of the Spirit feel good and are good for us- they are healthy for our faith! After Bible Time, we made our craft. We use real apples to stamp paint on our papers. The kids had lots of fun with this. They played in the classroom while I cleaned up the craft supplies and then we headed off into the gym! After that, it was time for lunch, wind-down, and nap time.
It was another successful day of camp!
God's Blessings,
